SSL Certificate Verification in NZBGet

To support secure access to Usenet, NZBGet includes SSL certificate verification. When enabled, this feature checks the server's SSL certificate for validity and trusted authority.

Enabling Certificate Checks in NZBGet

  1. Open NZBGet and go to Settings > SECURITY.

  2. Locate the option labeled CertCheck.

  3. Set this option to yes to activate verification.

  1. Restart NZBGet to apply the setting.

Handling Certificate Errors

If you encounter errors related to certificate validation:

  • Confirm your system date and time are accurate.

  • Check that your device has a current set of CA certificates installed.

Notes for Newshosting Users

Newshosting’s Usenet servers use certificates issued by trusted authorities. If errors appear, the issue typically lies with the local system certificate store.
