Install NewsLeecher

Visit the official NewsLeecher website and install the latest version compatible with your operating system. A free version is available, but a subscription unlocks the full feature set. Follow the installation steps to complete the process.

Configure Server Settings

After installation, open NewsLeecher and click "Add Server" in the top-right corner.

Connect to Newshosting

In the server settings menu, create a new server connection and check "Server Requires Login" to enter account details. Use the following settings from your Newshosting account:

 

• Server Nickname: Assign a recognizable name (e.g., “Newshosting”).
• Server Address: news.newshosting.com.
• Username: Enter your Newshosting username.
• Password: Input your Newshosting password.

 

 

Enable SSL for Secure Access

For encrypted access, check "Use Encrypted Server Connections (SSL)" and select port 563. If encryption is not required, use port 119. To modify connection settings, enable "Show Advanced Settings."

 

 

Start Accessing Usenet

Click "Apply", then "OK." NewsLeecher is now configured with Newshosting, allowing direct access to Usenet.
