Duplicate or Unexpected Charges on Your Newshosting Account

It's not uncommon to notice a charge that looks duplicated on your bank statement. Here are several reasons why this may happen on your Newshosting subscription:

  1. Authorization Holds: Some banks or card issuers place temporary holds when a payment is initiated. These holds can resemble actual charges but typically disappear within a few business days.

  2. Multiple Sign-Ups: If you created more than one account, intentionally or not, each would be billed separately. Check for multiple welcome emails or account confirmation messages.

  3. Billing Cycle Overlap: A payment might occur close to another billing event, such as a plan upgrade or renewal, causing two transactions to appear around the same time.

  4. Currency Conversion Differences: If you are outside the U.S., your bank may split or reprocess transactions differently due to exchange rate adjustments.

  5. Bank or Processor Errors: Occasionally, your card provider may process a transaction more than once by mistake. Contact your bank to verify the origin of the charge.
