RSS Integration in NZBGet
Automate NZBGet Activity with RSS Feed Support
Streamline your Usenet experience by setting up RSS feeds in NZBGet. This feature lets NZBGet regularly scan feed URLs from your favorite Indexers and act on new items based on your filters. RSS feeds enable automation by matching articles to filter rules and queuing them automatically.
Adding RSS Feeds
-
Open NZBGet in your Web browser.
-
Go to Settings > RSS FEEDS.
-
Click Add Feed and enter the feed URL from your Indexer.
-
Assign a name to the feed.
-
Enable the feed and configure the interval (e.g., 15 minutes).
Creating and Applying Filters
-
Navigate to Settings > RSS FEEDS > Filters.
-
Add a new filter and define your matching terms under the DupeKey and DupeScore fields.
-
Use expressions such as "1080p", "x265", or "Proper" to target specific article types.
-
Set an action like Accept, Reject, or Pause.
-
Apply the filter to a specific feed or make it global.
-
For a detailed explanation of all available filter parameters, visit the official NZBGet RSS guide.
Using DupeKey and DupeScore
-
DupeKey identifies articles that are considered duplicates (e.g., same show and episode).
-
DupeScore increases the score for more desirable versions (e.g., higher quality). NZBGet chooses the article with the highest score.
Category and Post-Processing Options
-
Assign a Category to each feed.
-
Apply post-processing settings based on that category.
-
Use category-specific settings to route articles to different destinations or processing scripts.
Monitoring Feed Matches
-
Review matches in the LOGGING section.
-
Accepted entries will be queued.
-
Rejected entries will be displayed with the rule that triggered the rejection.
Best Practices
-
Monitor article age to avoid indexing items older than your provider's article retention window.
-
Use categories to keep different feed types separate (e.g., TV shows, books).
