To connect NZBGet with Newshosting, adjust the server settings to match your Newshosting credentials and preferences. This guide outlines the setup process for a secure, efficient experience.

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Open NZBGet and go to Settings > NEWS-SERVERS.

  2. Click Add another Server to create a new server configuration.

  3. Enter the following details:

    • Name: Usenet Provider

    • Host: news.example.com

    • Port: 563 (for SSL) or 119 (non-SSL)

    • Encryption: Yes (when using port 563)

    • Username: [Usenet username]

    • Password: [Usenet password]

    • Connections: Up to 100

  4. Click Save all changes.

Advanced Tips

  • Use SSL on port 563 for encrypted communication.

  • Select the server closest to your location (e.g., US, EU) in the hostname if needed.

  • Review your Newshosting plan for maximum article retention support.
